This site provides access to downloadable software to perform generalized dissimilarity modelling, as described in:
Ferrier, S., Manion, G., Elith, J. and Richardson, K. (2007) Using generalized dissimilarity modelling to analyse and predict patterns of beta diversity in regional biodiversity assessment. Diversity and Distributions 13: 252-264.
The only version of the software currently available from this site consists of a set of functions for performing GDM within the R statistical software environment (http://www.r-project.org/) for the Windows platform. We will later provide access to additional software to perform GDM within the ESRI ArcView / ArcGIS environment.
To install the functions for performing GDM in R (for Windows), unpack the contents of the following zip file to your R working directory, then open gdm_tutorial.doc for further instructions.
GDM_R_Distribution_Pack_V1.1.zip (Zip file size: 270KB)
For any queries regarding the downloading or operation of this software please contact Glenn Manion: glenn.manion@environment.nsw.gov.au
